Cargill's Corporate Responsibility in China

Cargill’s work in China can be traced back to the 1970s when Cargill cooperated with China to supply grain shortly after the release of the Sino-U.S. Joint Communiqué. As an experienced producer and marketer of agricultural, food, financial and industrial products and services, Cargill is in a unique position to contribute its global experience and expertise to help China meet its goals of raising the incomes of its rural population and developing its countryside. By improving efficiency and adding value in the production, processing, distribution, and trade of food and agriculture products in China, we aim to promote sustainable agriculture and a secure food supply for China.

Cargill defines citizenship as our total impact on society and the environment. The four cornerstones of citizenship for Cargill include:
