Cargill Starch & Sweeteners Asia

Cargill Starch & Sweeteners Asia (SSA) provides a broad portfolio of products for customers in the confectionary, coffee creamer, beer, dairy, beverage and non-food industries. Currently SSA operates five plants in China: the Cerestar China Resources Maize Industry Co., Ltd, a corn processing JV which produces starch, glucose, dextrose, malto-dextrin and modified starch in Songyuan, Jilin Province; the GBT- Cargill High Fructose (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, a JV between Cargill and Global Bio-Chem Technologies which produces high fructose-42 corn syrup; the fructose-55 and glucose operations in Tianjin and Pinghu, Zhejiang Province, and the industrial starch plant in Nantong, Jiangsu province, which provides natural renewable starch based coating binder solutions, focusing on paper and board industry.
