Mosaic Fertilizer

Mosaic is one of the world's leading producers of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients. It was created by the combination of two respected and successful industry leaders, Cargill Crop Nutrition and IMC Global, in October 2004. Cargill owns approximately 66.5 percent of the common stock of The Mosaic Company, a U.S. public company whose shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange, and which is independently managed.

Mosaic has a long history of supplying fertilizers in China. Mosaic owns and operates a complex NPK fertilizer plant in Jiangsu Province and fertilizer blending plants in Yantai and Qinhuangdao. A complex NPK fertilizer has all three primary nutrients of nitrogen, phosphate and potassium contained in a single granule. Mosaic also holds an equity interest in a joint venture phosphate fertilizer plant located in Yunnan Province.
