About Us
Approved by the Ministry of Commerce of China, Cerestar COFCO Maize Industry Co., Ltd (CCO) is a large Sino-foreign joint venture specializing in the corn processing business. It has a registered capital of 1.3 billion RMB and a total investment of 1.9 billion RMB. Cargill Inc. owns 51% of the equity and COFCO Bio-Chemical Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China National Cereals, Oils, Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO) owns 49% of the equity.
Cerestar CCO is located in the Economy And Technology Development Zone of Songyuan in Jilin Province, the golden corn belt of China. The plant has a design annual corn grinding capacity of 300,000MT . All key equipments are imported and Cargill, a global leader in the corn processing industry, provided the core technology. The plant will reach 600,000MT corn grinding capacity after the planned expansion project completed.
The Main products of Cerestar COFCO Maize Industry Co., Ltd. include native starch, spray dried maltodextrins, glucose and dextrose. These products are broadly applied in paper, textile, food, pharmaceutical, beer and milk powder industries. The company has obtained many certificates such as ISO9001:2000, HACCP, KOSHER, HALAL and NFPA and has passed audits of many leading international and domestic companies. Products of the company are sold to 17 countries and areas including Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
