Cargill in China

Cargill’s cooperation with China can be traced back to the early 1970's. Today Cargill is proud to be an integral part of China, having more than 5,000 employees, 37 wholly owned companies and joint ventures in the country.

As an experienced agriculture, food and risk management supplier, Cargill is in a unique position to contribute its global expertise to China’s ongoing moves to raise farmer’s incomes of its rural population and develop its countryside. Also underlying this contribution is its consistent commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and a secure food supply for China through improving efficiency and adding value in the production, processing, distribution, and trade of food and agriculture products.
