Grain & Oilseeds Supply Chain

Cargill is one of the major suppliers and processors of grains and oilseeds in China, providing quality grains, oilseeds and fats products from worldwide origins. Cargill currently operates 4 oilseeds crush plants in China, three in Guangdong Province and one in Jiangsu Province.

Our Products and Services

We are part of an integrated global supply chain for sourcing, processing, transporting and distributing grain and oilseeds around the world. The main bulk products we handle are oilseeds, including soybeans and canola seeds, corn, soybean meal, vegetable oils, as well as NGFI products. In China, we import and crush soybeans to produce high quality soybean meal and oil. We originate, ship and distribute high quality domestic corn to serve our customers. We offer risk management service to selected customers.

All the information is finally integrated at the World Trading Unit and is interpreted into the strategies that provide a guidance for the production and trading of the global business units.

Millions of grains trading and processing volume provide us enough flexibility to design the optimal logistics solutions for ourselves and our clients. Meanwhile, Cargill’s expertise in iron ore, coal and grain trading provides us with the first-hand market information, which facilitates us to better utilize the logistics financial derivatives market to further manage risks and reduce the logistics cost.

The business unit covers soybean and the processed products, corn, palm oil, wheat, oilseeds and the processed products, cottonseeds and the processed products and DDGS. The wide range in agricultural commodities provides more options for our clients, and also helps us better understand market dynamics and make action plans on a timely manner.
