We are one of the major suppliers and processors of grains and oilseeds in China, providing quality grains, oilseeds and fats products from worldwide origins. Benefiting from our integrated large-scaled crush and refinery facilities, supply chain and state-of-art R&D centre, we produce high quality vegetable oils backed by world-class food safety management. Food safety is our top priority and we focus on quality assurance and traceability at every stage, from raw materials and processing to packaging and distribution.

We work hard to make our partners' businesses more successful, and offer practical support in areas such as price risk management, technical advice and logistics. For example, we help customers manage the costs of raw materials and mitigate risks associated with market volatility. And we provide global and domestic trading analytics and market insight, as well as access to our innovation centres in Beijing and Shanghai, in order to help customers achieve sustainable growth.

Our capabilities and resources

With a head office in Shanghai, we have trading locations across Greater China, including Beijing, Hong Kong and Taipei. We currently operate four oilseeds crush plants in China, two in Guangdong Province, one in Jiangsu Province and one in Hebei Province. In addition, we have crush/refinery/specialty oil and fats plants in Nantong and Machong, crush and refinery oil plants in Yangjiang and Huanghua, and facilities at ports in Yangjiang, Nantong and Huanghua.

A fully integrated supply chain lies at the heart of our strength in China. Backed by the full support of Cargill’s  global trading capabilities and expertise, we develop tailored strategies for the production and trading of grains and oilseeds in China. For our customers, this service not only links the different stages of the supply chain but also creates a wider range of business options - all underpinned by our commitment to best value and unparalleled safety standards.

Our core products are oilseeds, including soybeans, canola seeds, corn, soybean meal, vegetable oils and non-grain feed ingredients. Imported soybeans are crushed in our plants to produce high quality, traceable soybean meal. We also originate, ship and distribute high quality domestic corn to serve our feed customers.

Foodservice oils
Building on Cargill's global foodservice industry experience and deep insight into the Chinese market, we provide refined vegetable oils and blended oils in different packaging, including soybean oil, palm oil, canola oil and high oleic vegetable oils. We also provide different frying oil and special flavour oil solutions to meet the different needs of Chinese and Western foodservice channels and cooking applications.

Food ingredients
We provide a variety of vegetable specialty fats, serving the diverse needs of our food industry customers. These products include tailor-made confectionery and cocoa butter substitute fats, fillings and coating fats for biscuits and bakery products, ice-cream fats, non-dairy cream and non-dairy powder.

Bakery fats
Our aim is to maintain our reputation as the most trusted partner for bakery customers in China, helping them meet end-users’ growing needs for food safety and high-quality bakery products. We do this by providing a complete range of margarine, shortening, liquid shortening and other high quality bakery fats.

Infant formula oils
When added to formula milk, our products improve the way in which infants absorb fats. The Cargill global Food Safety Quality Regulation system ensures that our infant milk fats are always of the highest quality.
